No todos saben estas cosas. Antes de creer en Cristo, algunos de ustedes adoraban ídolos, y todavía creen que esos ídolos tienen vida. Por eso, cuando comen alimentos que fueron ofrecidos a los ídolos, les remuerde la conciencia y se sienten culpables. Pero nuestra relación con Dios no va a ser mejor o peor por causa de los alimentos que comamos. Sin embargo, aunque tengamos derecho a comer de todo, debemos tener cuidado de no causarles problemas a los miembros de la iglesia que todavía no están debidamente instruidos.

But not everyone possesses this knowledge.(A) Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak,(B) it is defiled. But food does not bring us near to God;(C) we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.

Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block(D) to the weak.(E)
