Dios Habla Hoy
Pleitos ante jueces paganos
6 Cuando alguno de ustedes tiene un pleito con otro, ¿por qué va a pedir justicia a los jueces paganos, en vez de pedírsela a los del pueblo santo? 2 ¿Acaso no saben ustedes que el pueblo santo ha de juzgar al mundo? Y si ustedes han de juzgar al mundo, ¿cómo no son capaces de juzgar estos asuntos tan pequeños? 3 ¿No saben que incluso a los ángeles habremos de juzgarlos nosotros? ¡Pues con mayor razón los asuntos de esta vida! 4 Así que, si ustedes tienen pleitos por asuntos de la vida diaria, ¿por qué ponen por jueces a los que nada significan para la iglesia? 5 Digo esto para que les dé vergüenza: ¿Acaso no hay entre ustedes ninguno con capacidad suficiente para juzgar un asunto entre sus hermanos? 6 ¡No sólo se pelean unos hermanos con otros, sino que llevan sus pleitos ante jueces paganos!
7 Ya el simple hecho de tener pleitos entre ustedes mismos es un grave defecto. ¿Por qué no, mejor, soportar la injusticia? ¿Por qué no, mejor, dejar que les roben? 8 ¡Pero ustedes, al contrario, cometen injusticias y roban hasta a sus propios hermanos!
9-10 ¿No saben ustedes que los que cometen injusticias no tendrán parte en el reino de Dios? No se dejen engañar, pues en el reino de Dios no tendrán parte los que se entregan a la prostitución, ni los idólatras, ni los que cometen adulterio, ni los afeminados, ni los homosexuales, ni los que roban, ni los avaros, ni los borrachos, ni los maldicientes, ni los ladrones. 11 Y esto eran antes algunos de ustedes; pero ahora ya recibieron el baño de la purificación, fueron santificados y hechos justos en el nombre del Señor Jesucristo y por el Espíritu de nuestro Dios.
La libertad no es para que pequemos
12 Se dice: «Yo soy libre de hacer lo que quiera.» Es cierto, pero no todo conviene. Sí, yo soy libre de hacer lo que quiera, pero no debo dejar que nada me domine. 13 También se dice: «La comida es para el estómago, y el estómago para la comida.» Es cierto, pero Dios va a terminar con las dos cosas. En cambio, el cuerpo no es para la prostitución sino para el Señor, y el Señor es para el cuerpo. 14 Y así como Dios resucitó al Señor, también nos va a resucitar a nosotros por su poder.
15 ¿Acaso no saben ustedes que su cuerpo es parte del cuerpo de Cristo? ¿Y habré de tomar yo esa parte del cuerpo de Cristo y hacerla parte del cuerpo de una prostituta? ¡Claro que no! 16 ¿No saben ustedes que cuando un hombre se une con una prostituta, se hacen los dos un solo cuerpo? Pues la Escritura dice: «Los dos serán como una sola persona.» 17 Pero cuando alguien se une al Señor, se hace espiritualmente uno con él.
18 Huyan, pues, de la prostitución. Cualquier otro pecado que una persona comete, no afecta a su cuerpo; pero el que se entrega a la prostitución, peca contra su propio cuerpo. 19 ¿No saben ustedes que su cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo que Dios les ha dado, y que el Espíritu Santo vive en ustedes? Ustedes no son sus propios dueños, 20 porque Dios los ha comprado. Por eso deben honrar a Dios en el cuerpo.

6 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Lawsuits Among Believers
6 If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people?(A) 2 Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world?(B) And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 4 Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church? 5 I say this to shame you.(C) Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers?(D) 6 But instead, one brother(E) takes another to court—and this in front of unbelievers!(F)
7 The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?(G) 8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters.(H) 9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God?(I) Do not be deceived:(J) Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers(K) nor men who have sex with men[a](L) 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers(M) will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were.(N) But you were washed,(O) you were sanctified,(P) you were justified(Q) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Sexual Immorality
12 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial.(R) “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. 13 You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.”(S) The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord,(T) and the Lord for the body. 14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead,(U) and he will raise us also.(V) 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself?(W) Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”[b](X) 17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.[c](Y)
18 Flee from sexual immorality.(Z) All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.(AA) 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples(AB) of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;(AC) 20 you were bought at a price.(AD) Therefore honor God with your bodies.(AE)

Dra inte en annan troende inför rätta
6 Hur kan någon bland er som ligger i tvist med en annan dra honom inför rätta inför de orättfärdiga, i stället för de heliga? 2 Vet ni inte att de heliga ska döma världen? Om ni ska döma världen, skulle ni då inte kunna reda ut sådana här småsaker? 3 Vet ni inte att vi ska döma änglar? Då måste vi väl klara av vardagliga tvister. 4 Men nu när ni har sådana här tvister, ta då till domare sådana som församlingen ser ner på![a] 5 Ni borde skämmas! Finns det då ingen bland er som är vis nog att döma mellan sina troende syskon? 6 Men nu har en troende en rättstvist med en annan troende, och det framför ögonen på icke troende!
7 Att ni överhuvudtaget drar varandra inför rätta är ett nederlag för er. Varför inte bara acceptera en oförrätt eller ta en förlust? 8 I stället gör ni själva orätt och roffar åt er, så att det drabbar era egna trossyskon!
9 Vet ni inte att ingen orättfärdig får ärva Guds rike? Bedra inte er själva. Ingen som lever i sexuell omoral, som tillber avgudar, som är otrogen i sitt äktenskap eller som ägnar sig åt homosexualitet, 10 inte heller tjuvar, själviska människor, drinkare, förtalare eller de som lurar andra på pengar får ärva Guds rike. 11 Vissa av er levde tidigare på det sättet, men har nu tvättats rena, helgats och gjorts rättfärdiga i Herren Jesus Kristus namn och i vår Guds Ande.
Tänk på att Guds Ande bor i er kropp
12 ”Allt är tillåtet för mig”, men allt är inte nyttigt.[b] ”Allt är tillåtet för mig”, men jag får inte låta någonting ta makten över mig. 13 ”Maten är till för magen och magen för maten”.[c] Men Gud ska göra slut på både mat och mage. Däremot är kroppen inte till för sexuell omoral. Den är till för Herren, och Herren för kroppen.[d] 14 Så som Gud genom sin kraft uppväckte Herren från de döda, ska han uppväcka också oss. 15 Vet ni inte att era kroppar är Kristus lemmar? Ska jag då ta lemmar av Kristus och förena dem med en prostituerad?[e] Aldrig! 16 Ni vet väl att den som förenar sig med en prostituerad blir en kropp med henne? Det sägs ju: ”De två blir ett kött.”[f] 17 Men den som förenas med Herren blir en ande med honom.
18 Håll er därför borta från all sexuell omoral. All annan synd som en människa begår sker utanför kroppen, men den som ägnar sig åt sexuell omoral syndar mot sin egen kropp. 19 Vet ni inte att er kropp är ett tempel åt den heliga Anden, som bor i er och som ni har fått av Gud? Ni tillhör inte er själva. 20 Ni har köpts fria, och priset är betalt. Ära därför Gud med er kropp.

Glorify God in Body and Spirit
