Un caso de inmoralidad juzgado
5 Se ha sabido que hay entre vosotros fornicación, y fornicación cual ni aun se nombra entre los gentiles; a tal extremo que alguno tiene a la mujer de su padre. 2 Y vosotros estáis envanecidos. ¿No debierais más bien lamentarlo y haber quitado de en medio de vosotros al que cometió tal acción? 3 Ciertamente yo, como ausente en cuerpo pero presente en espíritu, como si estuviera presente he juzgado ya al que tal cosa ha hecho. 4 En el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, reunidos vosotros y mi espíritu, con el poder de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, 5 el tal sea entregado a Satanás para destrucción de la carne, a fin de que el espíritu sea salvo en el día del Señor Jesús.
6 No es buena vuestra jactancia. ¿Acaso no sabéis que un poco de levadura fermenta toda la masa? 7 Limpiaos, pues, de la vieja levadura, para que seáis nueva masa, como sois, sin levadura, porque nuestra Pascua, que es Cristo, ya fue sacrificada por nosotros. 8 Así que celebremos la fiesta, no con la vieja levadura ni con la levadura de malicia y de maldad, sino con panes sin levadura, de sinceridad y de verdad.
9 Os he escrito por carta que no os juntéis con los fornicarios. 10 No me refiero en general a todos los fornicarios de este mundo, ni a todos los avaros, ladrones, o idólatras, pues en tal caso os sería necesario salir del mundo. 11 Más bien os escribí para que no os juntéis con ninguno que, llamándose hermano, sea fornicario, avaro, idólatra, maldiciente, borracho o ladrón; con el tal ni aun comáis, 12 porque ¿qué razón tendría yo para juzgar a los que están fuera? ¿No juzgáis vosotros a los que están dentro? 13 A los que están fuera, Dios los juzgará. Quitad, pues, a ese perverso de entre vosotros.

5 Det förljudes såväl att överhuvud otukt bedrives bland eder, som ock att sådan otukt förekommer, som man icke ens finner bland hedningarna, nämligen att en son har sin faders hustru.
2 Och ändå ären I uppblåsta och haven icke fastmer blivit uppfyllda av sådan sorg, att I haven drivit ut ur eder krets den som har gjort detta.
3 Jag, som väl till kroppen är frånvarande, men till anden närvarande, har för min del redan, såsom vore jag närvarande, fällt domen över den som har förövat en sådan ogärning:
4 i Herren Jesu namn skola vi komma tillsammans, I och min ande, med vår Herre Jesu kraft,
5 och överlämna den mannen åt Satan till köttets fördärv, för att anden skall bliva frälst på Herren Jesu dag.
6 Det är icke väl beställt med eder berömmelse. Veten I icke att litet surdeg syrar hela degen?
7 Rensen bort den gamla surdegen, så att I bliven en ny deg. I ären ju osyrade; ty vi hava ock ett påskalamm, som är slaktat, nämligen Kristus.
8 Låtom oss därför hålla högtid, icke med gammal surdeg, icke med elakhetens och ondskans surdeg, utan med renhetens och sanningens osyrade bröd.
9 Jag skrev till eder i mitt brev att I icke skullen hava något umgänge med otuktiga människor --
10 detta icke sagt i allmänhet, om alla denna världens otuktiga människor eller om giriga och roffare eller om avgudadyrkare; annars måsten I ju rymma ur världen.
11 Nej, då jag skrev så till eder, menade jag, att om någon som kallades broder vore en otuktig människa eller en girig eller en avgudadyrkare eller en smädare eller en drinkare eller en roffare, så skullen I icke hava något umgänge med en sådan eller äta tillsammans med honom.
12 Ty icke tillkommer det väl mig att döma dem som äro utanför? Dem som äro innanför haven I ju att döma;
13 dem som äro utanför skall Gud döma. »I skolen driva ut ifrån eder den som är ond.»

Dealing With a Case of Incest
5 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his father’s wife.(A) 2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning(B) and have put out of your fellowship(C) the man who has been doing this? 3 For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit.(D) As one who is present with you in this way, I have already passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus(E) on the one who has been doing this. 4 So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5 hand this man over(F) to Satan(G) for the destruction of the flesh,[a][b] so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.(H)
6 Your boasting is not good.(I) Don’t you know that a little yeast(J) leavens the whole batch of dough?(K) 7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.(L) 8 Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread(M) of sincerity and truth.
9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate(N) with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world(O) who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister[c](P) but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater(Q) or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.(R)
12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside(S) the church? Are you not to judge those inside?(T) 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”[d](U)
