1 Corinthians 9:23-25

23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel, (A)that I may share with them in its blessings.
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives (B)the prize? So (C)run that you may obtain it. 25 Every (D)athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we (E)an imperishable.

24 Ne znate li da u trci svi trkači trče, a samo jedan osvoji prvu nagradu? I vi trčite tako da ju osvojite.
25 Svaki natjecatelj živi suzdržljivo. Oni to čine da dobiju vijenac koji će istrunuti, a mi da dobijemo nagradu koja će vječno trajati.

Striving for a Crown
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? (A)Run in such a way that you may [a]obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize [b]is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for (B)an imperishable crown.
