³ But if anyone loves God, ^(A)he is known by God.^[a]

⁸ “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you ^(A)an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. ⁹ Behold, I will make those of ^(B)the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, ^(C)I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that ^(D)I have loved you.

¹⁷ And the Lord said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, ^(A)for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

¹⁹ But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: ^(A)“The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone ^(B)who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

⁹ But, as it is written,

⁹ But now that you have come to know God, or rather ^(A)to be known by God, ^(B)how can you turn back again to ^(C)the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?

^19 (A)“‘I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first.

^12 (A)Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive ^(B)the crown of life, ^(C)which God has promised to those who love him.
