1 Corinthians 6
King James Version
6 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Pleitos entre creyentes
6 Si alguno de vosotros tiene un pleito con otro, ¿cómo se atreve a presentar demanda ante los inconversos, en vez de acudir a los creyentes? 2 ¿Acaso no sabéis que los creyentes juzgarán al mundo? Y, si vosotros habéis de juzgar al mundo, ¿cómo no vais a ser capaces de juzgar casos insignificantes? 3 ¿No sabéis que aun a los ángeles los juzgaremos? ¡Cuánto más los asuntos de esta vida! 4 Por tanto, si tenéis pleitos sobre tales asuntos, ¿cómo es que nombráis como jueces a los que no cuentan para nada ante la iglesia?[a] 5 Digo esto para que os dé vergüenza. ¿Acaso no hay entre vosotros nadie lo bastante sabio como para juzgar un pleito entre creyentes? 6 Al contrario, un hermano demanda a otro, ¡y esto ante los incrédulos!
7 En realidad, ya es una falta grave el solo hecho de que haya pleitos entre vosotros. ¿No sería mejor soportar la injusticia? ¿No sería mejor dejar que os defrauden? 8 Lejos de eso, sois vosotros los que defraudáis y cometéis injusticias, ¡y conste que se trata de vuestros hermanos!
9 ¿No sabéis que los malvados no heredarán el reino de Dios? ¡No os dejéis engañar! Ni los fornicarios, ni los idólatras, ni los adúlteros, ni los sodomitas, ni los pervertidos sexuales, 10 ni los ladrones, ni los avaros, ni los borrachos, ni los calumniadores, ni los estafadores heredarán el reino de Dios. 11 Y eso erais algunos de vosotros. Pero ya habéis sido lavados, ya habéis sido santificados, ya habéis sido justificados en el nombre del Señor Jesucristo y por el Espíritu de nuestro Dios.
La inmoralidad sexual
12 «Todo me está permitido», pero no todo es para mi bien. «Todo me está permitido», pero no dejaré que nada me domine. 13 «Los alimentos son para el estómago y el estómago para los alimentos»; así es, y Dios los destruirá a ambos. Pero el cuerpo no es para la inmoralidad sexual, sino para el Señor, y el Señor para el cuerpo. 14 Con su poder, Dios resucitó al Señor, y nos resucitará también a nosotros. 15 ¿No sabéis que vuestros cuerpos son miembros de Cristo mismo? ¿Tomaré acaso los miembros de Cristo para unirlos con una prostituta? ¡Jamás! 16 ¿No sabéis que el que se une a una prostituta se hace un solo cuerpo con ella? Pues la Escritura dice: «Los dos llegarán a ser un solo cuerpo».[b] 17 Pero el que se une al Señor se hace uno con él en espíritu.
18 Huyan de la inmoralidad sexual. Todos los demás pecados que una persona comete quedan fuera de su cuerpo; pero el que comete inmoralidades sexuales peca contra su propio cuerpo. 19 ¿Acaso no sabéis que vuestro cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo, quien está en vosotros y que habéis recibido de parte de Dios? No sois vosotros vuestros propios dueños; 20 Fuisteis comprados por un precio. Por tanto, honrad con vuestro cuerpo a Dios.

Lawsuits among Believers
6 If any of you has a legal dispute against another, do you dare go to court(A) before the unrighteous,[a] and not before the saints? 2 Or don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest cases? 3 Don’t you know that we will judge angels—not to mention ordinary matters? 4 So if you have cases pertaining to this life, do you select those[b] who have no standing(B) in the church to judge? 5 I say this to your shame!(C) Can it be that there is not one wise person among you who is able to arbitrate between his brothers?(D) 6 Instead, believer[c] goes to court against believer, and that before unbelievers!(E)
7 Therefore, to have legal disputes against one another is already a moral failure for you.(F) Why not rather put up with injustice?(G) Why not rather be cheated?(H) 8 Instead, you act unjustly and cheat—and you do this to believers! 9 Don’t you know that the unrighteous(I) will not inherit God’s kingdom?(J) Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters,(K) adulterers,(L) or anyone practicing homosexuality,[d](M) 10 no thieves,(N) greedy(O) people, drunkards, verbally abusive people,(P) or swindlers(Q) will inherit God’s kingdom. 11 And some of you used to be like this.(R) But you were washed, you were sanctified,(S) you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Glorifying God in Body and Spirit
12 “Everything is permissible(T) for me,”[e] but not everything is helpful. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be brought under the control of anything. 13 “Food(U) for the stomach and the stomach for food,” but God will do away with both of them.[f] The body is not for sexual immorality(V) but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 God raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.(W) 15 Don’t you know that your bodies are a part of Christ’s body?(X) So should I take a part of Christ’s body and make it part of a prostitute? Absolutely not! 16 Don’t you know that anyone joined to a prostitute is one body with her? For Scripture says, The two will become one flesh.(Y)[g] 17 But anyone joined(Z) to the Lord is one spirit(AA) with Him.
18 Run(AB) from sexual immorality! “Every sin a person can commit is outside the body.”[h] On the contrary, the person who is sexually immoral(AC) sins against his own body. 19 Don’t you know that your body is a sanctuary(AD) of the Holy Spirit(AE) who is in you,(AF) whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought(AG) at a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.[i]
