15 Don’t you know that your bodies are a part of Christ’s body?(A) So should I take a part of Christ’s body and make it part of a prostitute? Absolutely not! 16 Don’t you know that anyone joined to a prostitute is one body with her? For Scripture says, The two will become one flesh.[a](B) 17 But anyone joined(C) to the Lord is one spirit(D) with him.

15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself?(A) Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”[a](B) 17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.[b](C)
