¹⁶ I urge you, then, ^(A)be imitators of me.

⁹ It was ^(A)not because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves ^(B)an example to imitate.

11 ^(A)Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

¹⁷ Brothers, ^(A)join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk ^(B)according to the example you have in us.

⁶ And ^(A)you became imitators of us ^(B)and of the Lord, for ^(C)you received the word in much affliction, ^(D)with the ^(E)joy of the Holy Spirit,

⁷ Remember ^(A)your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and ^(B)imitate their faith.

⁹ What you have learned^[a] and ^(A)received and heard and seen ^(B)in me—practice these things, and ^(C)the God of peace will be with you.

⁴ When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. ^5 (A)A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”
