Instructions and Greetings
16 Now concerning (A)the collection for [a](B)the saints, as (C)I directed the churches of (D)Galatia, so you are to do as well. 2 On (E)the first day of every week, each of you is to [b]put aside and save as he may prosper, so that (F)no collections need to be made when I come. 3 When I arrive, (G)whomever you approve, I will send them with letters to take your gift to Jerusalem; 4 and if it is appropriate for me to go also, they will go with me.

The Collection for the Lord’s People
16 Now about the collection(A) for the Lord’s people:(B) Do what I told the Galatian(C) churches to do. 2 On the first day of every week,(D) each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.(E) 3 Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve(F) and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. 4 If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.
2 Corinthians 8:18-24
New American Standard Bible
18 We have sent along with him (A)the brother whose fame in the things of the (B)gospel has spread through (C)all the churches; 19 (D)and not only that, but he has also been (E)appointed by the churches to travel with us in (F)this gracious work, which is being administered by us for the glory of the Lord Himself, and to show our (G)readiness, 20 [a]taking precaution so that no one will discredit us in our administration of this generous gift; 21 for we (H)have regard for what is honorable, not only in (I)the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of other people. 22 We have sent with them our brother, whom we have often tested and found diligent in many things, but now even more diligent because of his great confidence in you. 23 As for (J)Titus, he is my (K)partner and fellow worker [b]among you; as for our (L)brothers, they are [c](M)messengers of the churches, (N)a glory to Christ. 24 Therefore, [d]openly before the churches, [e]show them the proof of your love and of our (O)reason for boasting about you.

2 Corinthians 8:18-24
New International Version
18 And we are sending along with him the brother(A) who is praised by all the churches(B) for his service to the gospel.(C) 19 What is more, he was chosen by the churches to accompany us(D) as we carry the offering, which we administer in order to honor the Lord himself and to show our eagerness to help.(E) 20 We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. 21 For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.(F)
22 In addition, we are sending with them our brother who has often proved to us in many ways that he is zealous, and now even more so because of his great confidence in you. 23 As for Titus,(G) he is my partner(H) and co-worker(I) among you; as for our brothers,(J) they are representatives of the churches and an honor to Christ. 24 Therefore show these men the proof of your love and the reason for our pride in you,(K) so that the churches can see it.
