30 Why indeed[a] are we in danger every hour? 31 I die[b] daily— by[c] your boasting, brothers, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord. 32 If in accordance with human[d] thinking I fought-wild-animals[e] at Ephesus, what is the profit to me? If dead ones are not raised, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die” [Isa 22:13].

- 1 Corinthians 15:31 Paul swears with an oath. I swear by the boasting I do concerning you.

- 1 Corinthians 15:32 It was illegal to throw a Roman citizen like Paul to the animals. So this was either a mob action, or Paul is speaking of his enemies metaphorically.

32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
