The Resurrection of the Dead
12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation has been in vain and your faith has been in vain. 15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified of God that he raised Christ—whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised. 17 If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have died[a] in Christ have perished. 19 If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.

12 (A)Ora se si predica che Cristo è stato risuscitato dai morti, come mai alcuni tra voi dicono che non c’è risurrezione dei morti? 13 Ma se non vi è risurrezione dei morti, neppure Cristo è stato risuscitato; 14 e se Cristo non è stato risuscitato, vana dunque è la nostra predicazione e vana pure è la vostra fede. 15 Noi siamo anche trovati falsi testimoni di Dio, poiché abbiamo testimoniato di Dio che egli ha risuscitato il Cristo; il quale egli non ha risuscitato, se è vero che i morti non risuscitano. 16 Difatti, se i morti non risuscitano, neppure Cristo è stato risuscitato; 17 e se Cristo non è stato risuscitato, vana è la vostra fede; voi siete ancora nei vostri peccati. 18 Anche quelli che sono morti[a] in Cristo sono dunque periti. 19 Se abbiamo sperato in Cristo per questa vita soltanto, noi siamo i più miseri fra tutti gli uomini.

12 Wenn aber Christus verkündigt wird, dass er aus den Toten auferstanden ist[a], wieso sagen denn etliche unter euch, es gebe keine Auferstehung der Toten?
13 Wenn es wirklich keine Auferstehung der Toten gibt, so ist auch Christus nicht auferstanden!
14 Wenn aber Christus nicht auferstanden ist, so ist unsere Verkündigung vergeblich, und vergeblich auch euer Glaube!
15 Wir werden aber auch als falsche Zeugen Gottes erfunden, weil wir von Gott bezeugt haben, dass er Christus auferweckt hat, während er ihn doch nicht auferweckt hat, wenn wirklich Tote nicht auferweckt werden!
16 Denn wenn Tote nicht auferweckt werden, so ist auch Christus nicht auferweckt worden.
17 Ist aber Christus nicht auferweckt worden, so ist euer Glaube nichtig, so seid ihr noch in euren Sünden;
18 dann sind auch die in Christus Entschlafenen verloren.
19 Wenn wir nur in diesem Leben auf Christus hoffen, so sind wir die elendesten unter allen Menschen!

12 Krisztusról azt hirdettük nektek, hogy feltámadt a halottak közül. Akkor hogyan mondhatják közületek néhányan, hogy a halottak sohasem támadnak fel? 13 Hiszen ha ez igaz lenne, akkor Krisztus sem támadt volna fel. 14 Ha pedig Krisztus valóban nem támadt volna fel, akkor nem lenne semmi értelme annak az üzenetnek sem, amelyet nektek hirdettünk. Sőt, akkor a ti hiteteknek sem lenne értelme! 15 Ráadásul, Istennel kapcsolatban is hazudtunk volna. Miért? Mert azt mondtuk, hogy ő feltámasztotta Krisztust a halálból. Ha tehát igaz lenne, hogy a halottak nem támadnak fel, akkor mi is hazugok lennénk.
16 Mert ha a halottak tényleg nem támadnak fel, akkor Krisztus sem támadt fel. 17 Ha pedig Krisztus valóban nem támadt fel, akkor semmit sem ér a hitetek, és még mindig a bűneitekben éltek. 18 Ezen felül még azok a testvérek is végleg elvesztek volna, akik eddig a Krisztusban való hitben haltak meg. 19 Ha csak erre a földi életre nézve lenne reménységünk Krisztusban, akkor minden embernél szánalmasabbak lennénk!

12 Or, si nous proclamons que Christ est ressuscité, comment quelques-uns parmi vous peuvent-ils prétendre qu’il n’y a pas de résurrection des morts ?
13 S’il n’y a pas de résurrection des morts, alors Christ lui non plus n’est pas ressuscité. 14 Et si Christ n’est pas ressuscité, notre prédication n’a plus de contenu, et votre foi est sans objet.
15 Il y a plus : s’il est vrai que les morts ne ressuscitent pas, nous devons être considérés comme de faux témoins à l’égard de Dieu. En effet, nous avons porté témoignage que Dieu a ressuscité Christ. Mais s’il est vrai que les morts ne ressuscitent pas, il ne l’a pas fait. 16 Car, si les morts ne peuvent pas revivre, Christ non plus n’est pas revenu à la vie.
17 Or, si Christ n’est pas ressuscité, votre foi est une illusion, et vous êtes encore sous le poids de vos péchés. 18 De plus, ceux qui sont morts unis à Christ sont à jamais perdus. 19 Si c’est seulement pour la vie présente que nous avons mis notre espérance en Christ, nous sommes les plus à plaindre des hommes.
