^4 (A)Love suffers long and is ^(B)kind; love ^(C)does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not ^[a]puffed up;

⁸ And above all things have fervent love for one another, for ^(A)“love will cover a multitude of sins.”

³² And ^(A)be kind to one another, tenderhearted, ^(B)forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

²¹ envy, ^[a]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that ^(A)those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

²² But ^(B)the fruit of the Spirit is ^(C)love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, ^(D)goodness, ^(E)faithfulness,

Character of the New Man

¹² Therefore, ^(A)as the elect of God, holy and beloved, ^(B)put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;

¹¹ Beloved, ^(A)if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

¹⁴ But if you have ^(A)bitter envy and ^[a]self-seeking in your hearts, ^(B)do not boast and lie against the truth. ^15 (C)This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. ¹⁶ For ^(D)where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. ¹⁷ But ^(E)the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, ^(F)without partiality ^(G)and without hypocrisy.
