² If I have the gift of ^(A)prophecy and know all ^(B)mysteries and all ^(C)knowledge, and if I have ^(D)all faith so as to ^(E)remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

⁶ the one who says that he ^(A)remains in Him ^(B)ought, himself also, to walk just as He walked.

^7 (C)Beloved, I am ^(D)not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had ^(E)from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard. ^8 [a]On the other hand, I am writing ^(F)a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because ^(G)the darkness is passing away and ^(H)the true Light is already shining. ⁹ The one who says that he is in the Light and yet ^(I)hates his ^(J)brother or sister is in the darkness until now. ^10 (K)The one who loves his brother and sister remains in the Light, and there is nothing in him to cause stumbling.
