¹⁰Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, ^(A)that you all ^[a]speak the same thing, and that there be no ^[b]divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. ¹¹For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are ^[c]contentions among you.

¹⁷Now in giving these instructions I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better but for the worse. ¹⁸For first of all, when you come together as a church, ^(A)I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. ¹⁹For ^(B)there must also be factions among you, ^(C)that those who are approved may be ^[a]recognized among you.
