Geestelijke uitingen en bijzondere gaven
12 Broeders en zusters, ik wil u over de geestelijke uitingen niet in onzekerheid laten. 2 Toen u nog niet gelovig was, leefde u onder de misleidende invloed van afgoden. 3 Daarom wil ik u erop wijzen dat niemand die door de Geest van God geleid wordt, kan zeggen dat Jezus vervloekt is. En evenmin kan iemand oprecht zeggen dat Jezus de Heer is, behalve als hij door de Heilige Geest geleid wordt.
4 De bijzondere gaven zijn verschillend, maar ze worden gegeven door dezelfde Geest. 5 De taken zijn verschillend, maar ze worden opgedragen door dezelfde Here. 6 De activiteiten zijn verschillend, maar ze worden ontplooid door dezelfde God, die alles in ons allen bewerkt. 7 De Geest openbaart Zich door elk van ons, tot welzijn van de hele gemeente. 8 De een brengt Gods wijsheid onder woorden, door de Geest, de ander geeft blijk van Gods kennis, door dezelfde Geest. 9 De een krijgt ergens geloof voor en de ander de gave om zieken te genezen, beiden door dezelfde Geest. 10 De een doet wonderen, de ander geeft Gods woord door. De een weet te onderscheiden wat wel en wat niet van Gods Geest afkomstig is, de ander spreekt in klanktalen en weer een ander legt uit wat in die klanktalen gezegd wordt. 11 Maar het is een en dezelfde Geest die dit allemaal bewerkt. Hij geeft ieder wat Hij nodig vindt. Hij deelt zijn gaven uit zoals Hij wil.
12 Ons lichaam bestaat uit vele delen, maar al die delen samen vormen één lichaam. Zo is het ook met Christus. 13 Want de Geest heeft ons allemaal tot één lichaam samengevoegd: het lichaam van Christus. Het doet er niet toe of wij Jood of niet-Jood zijn, slaaf of vrij man. Wij zijn allen doordrenkt met die ene Geest. 14 Een lichaam bestaat niet uit één enkel deel, maar uit vele delen. 15 Als de voet zou zeggen dat hij niet bij het lichaam hoort, omdat hij geen hand is, hoort hij daarom niet bij het lichaam? 16 En als het oor zou zeggen dat het niet bij het lichaam hoort, omdat het geen oog is, hoort het daarom niet bij het lichaam? 17 Als het lichaam alleen maar oog was, hoe zou het dan moeten horen? Als het lichaam een en al gehoor was, hoe zou het dan moeten ruiken? 18 Nee, God heeft alle verschillende delen in een lichaam gezet, zoals Hij het goed vond. 19 Als er maar één deel was, zou u niet van een lichaam kunnen spreken. 20 Maar er zijn vele delen en samen vormen zij één lichaam. 21 Het oog kan niet tegen de hand zeggen: ‘Ik heb je niet nodig.’ En het hoofd kan ook niet tegen de voeten zeggen: ‘Ik heb jullie niet nodig.’ 22 De delen die het meest kwetsbaar schijnen, lijken juist het meest nodig te zijn. 23 Aan de delen van ons lichaam die we niet graag laten zien, geven we bijzondere zorg en de minder nette delen van ons lichaam worden netjes bedekt.
24 De nette lichaamsdelen hebben dat niet zo nodig. God heeft het lichaam tot een eenheid samengevoegd en de op het eerste gezicht niet zo belangrijke delen een belangrijke plaats gegeven. 25 Anders zou er onenigheid in het lichaam zijn. 26 Elk deel moet voor de andere delen van het lichaam zorgen. Als één deel lijdt, lijden de anderen mee. En als één deel geëerd wordt, zijn de andere delen daar even blij mee als hij. 27 U bent het lichaam van Christus en ieder van u is een deel van dat lichaam.
28 God heeft sommigen in de gemeente een taak gegeven. Ten eerste zijn er apostelen, ten tweede degenen die Gods woord doorgeven en ten derde leraren. Dan zijn er die wonderen doen en anderen die de gave hebben zieken te genezen. Er zijn helpers en leiders en sommigen die in klanktalen spreken. 29 Maar zij zijn toch niet allemaal apostelen en geven toch niet allemaal Gods woord door? Zij zijn toch ook niet allemaal leraren? 30 Doet iedereen soms wonderen? Of hebben allen de gave om zieken te genezen? Spreken ze soms allemaal in klanktalen of kan ieder die talen uitleggen? 31 U moet streven naar de belangrijkste gaven. Ik wil daarnaast nog wijzen op een weg die u nog veel verder brengt in uw verhouding tot God.

12 Ngayong tungkol (A)sa mga kaloob na ayon sa espiritu, mga kapatid, ay hindi ko ibig na hindi kayo makaalam.
2 Nalalaman ninyo (B)na nang kayo'y mga Gentil pa, ay iniligaw kayo (C)sa mga piping diosdiosan, sa alin mang paraang pagkahatid sa inyo.
3 Kaya't ipinatatalastas ko sa inyo, na wala (D)sinomang nagsasalita sa pamamagitan ng Espiritu ng Dios ay nagsasabi, Si Jesus ay (E)itinakwil; at wala (F)sinoman ay makapagsasabi, Si Jesus ay Panginoon kundi sa pamamagitan ng Espiritu Santo.
4 Ngayo'y (G)may iba't ibang mga kaloob, datapuwa't (H)iisang Espiritu.
5 At may (I)iba't ibang mga pangangasiwa, datapuwa't iisang Panginoon.
6 At may iba't ibang paggawa, datapuwa't iisang (J)Dios na gumagawa ng lahat ng mga bagay sa lahat.
7 Datapuwa't sa bawa't isa (K)ay ibinibigay ang paghahayag ng Espiritu, upang pakinabangan naman.
8 Sapagka't sa isa, sa pamamagitan ng Espiritu ay ibinibigay ang salita ng (L)karunungan; at sa iba'y ang salita ng (M)kaalaman ayon din sa Espiritu:
9 Sa iba'y ang (N)pananampalataya, sa gayon ding Espiritu; at sa iba'y ang (O)mga kaloob na pagpapagaling, sa iisang Espiritu.
10 At sa iba'y ang mga paggawa ng mga himala; at sa iba'y hula; at sa iba'y ang (P)pagkilala sa mga espiritu; at sa iba'y ang (Q)iba't ibang wika; at sa iba'y ang (R)pagpapaliwanag ng mga wika.
11 Datapuwa't ang lahat ng ito ay ginagawa ng isa at ng gayon ding Espiritu, na binabahagi sa bawa't isa ayon sa kaniyang ibig.
12 Sapagka't (S)kung paanong ang katawan ay iisa, at mayroong maraming mga sangkap, at ang lahat ng mga sangkap ng katawan, bagama't marami, ay iisang katawan; gayon din naman si Cristo.
13 Sapagka't sa isang Espiritu ay binabautismuhan tayong lahat sa isang katawan, (T)maging tayo'y Judio o Griego, maging mga alipin o mga laya; at tayong lahat ay (U)pinainom sa (V)isang Espiritu.
14 Sapagka't ang katawan ay hindi iisang sangkap, kundi marami.
15 Kung sasabihin ng paa, Sapagka't hindi ako kamay, ay hindi ako sa katawan; hindi nga dahil dito'y hindi sa katawan.
16 At kung sasabihin ng tainga, Sapagka't hindi ako mata, ay hindi ako sa katawan; hindi nga dahil dito'y hindi sa katawan.
17 Kung ang buong katawan ay pawang mata, saan naroroon ang pakinig? Kung ang lahat ay pawang pakinig, saan naroroon ang pangamoy.
18 Datapuwa't ngayo'y inilagay ng Dios ang bawa't isa sa mga sangkap ng katawan, ayon sa kaniyang minagaling.
19 At kung ang lahat nga'y pawang isang sangkap, saan naroroon ang katawan?
20 Datapuwa't maraming mga sangkap nga, nguni't iisa ang katawan.
21 At hindi makapagsasabi ang mata sa kamay, Hindi kita kinakailangan: at hindi rin ang ulo sa mga paa, Hindi ko kayo kailangan.
22 Hindi, kundi lalo pang kailangan yaong mga sangkap ng katawan na wari'y lalong mahihina:
23 At yaong mga sangkap ng katawan, na inaakala nating kakaunti ang kapurihan, sa mga ito ipinagkakaloob natin ang lalong saganang papuri; at ang mga sangkap nating mga pangit ay siyang may lalong saganang kagandahan;
24 Yamang ang mga sangkap nating magaganda ay walang kailangan: datapuwa't hinusay ng Dios ang katawan na binigyan ng lalong saganang puri yaong sangkap na may kakulangan;
25 Upang huwag magkaroon ng pagkakabahabahagi sa katawan; kundi ang mga sangkap ay mangagkaroon ng magkasing-isang pagiingat sa isa't isa.
26 At kung ang isang sangkap ay nagdaramdam, ang lahat ng mga sangkap ay nangagdaramdam na kasama niya; o kung ang isang sangkap ay nagkakapuri, ang lahat ng mga sangkap (W)ay nangagagalak na kasama niya.
27 (X)Kayo nga ang katawan ni Cristo, at bawa't isa'y samasamang mga (Y)sangkap niya.
28 At ang Dios ay naglagay ng ilan sa iglesia, una-una'y (Z)mga apostol, ikalawa'y (AA)mga propeta, ikatlo'y mga guro, saka (AB)mga himala, saka mga kaloob na pagpapagaling, mga pagtulong, (AC)mga pamamahala, at iba't ibang mga wika.
29 Lahat baga'y mga apostol? lahat baga'y mga propeta? lahat baga'y mga guro? lahat baga'y mga manggagawa ng mga himala?
30 May mga kaloob na pagpapagaling baga ang lahat? (AD)nangagsasalita baga ang lahat ng mga wika? lahat baga ay nangagpapaliwanag?
31 Datapuwa't maningas ninyong (AE)nasain, ang lalong dakilang mga kaloob. At itinuturo ko sa inyo ang isang daang kagalinggalingan.

Spiritual Gifts
12 Now (A)concerning[a] spiritual gifts,[b] brothers,[c] I do not want you to be uninformed. 2 You know that (B)when you were pagans (C)you were led astray to (D)mute idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I want you to understand that (E)no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is (F)accursed!” and (G)no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.
4 Now (H)there are varieties of gifts, but (I)the same Spirit; 5 and (J)there are varieties of service, but (K)the same Lord; 6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is (L)the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7 (M)To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of (N)wisdom, and to another the utterance of (O)knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 to another (P)faith by the same Spirit, to another (Q)gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another (R)the working of miracles, to another (S)prophecy, to another (T)the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another (U)various kinds of tongues, to another (V)the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, (W)who apportions to each one individually (X)as he wills.
One Body with Many Members
12 For just as (Y)the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, (Z)so it is with Christ. 13 For (AA)in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—(AB)Jews or Greeks, slaves[d] or free—and (AC)all were made to drink of one Spirit.
14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, (AD)God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, (AE)as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts,[e] yet one body.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, (AF)all rejoice together.
27 Now (AG)you are the body of Christ and individually (AH)members of it. 28 And (AI)God has appointed in the church first (AJ)apostles, second (AK)prophets, third teachers, then (AL)miracles, then (AM)gifts of healing, (AN)helping, (AO)administrating, and (AP)various kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But (AQ)earnestly desire the higher gifts.
And I will show you a still more excellent way.
