Paul Surrenders His Rights

9 ^(A)Am I not free? ^(B)Am I not an apostle? ^(C)Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? ^(D)Are not you my workmanship in the Lord?

¹⁷ So ^(A)Ananias departed and entered the house. And ^(B)laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and ^(C)be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

^7 (A)For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (^(B)I am telling the truth, I am not lying), ^(C)a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

^6 (A)I planted, ^(B)Apollos watered, ^(C)but God gave the growth.

^11 (A)The following night ^(B)the Lord stood by him and said, ^(C)“Take courage, for ^(D)as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must ^(E)testify also in Rome.”

^3 (A)Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him.

1 Paul, a servant^[a] of God and ^(A)an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the sake of the faith of God's elect and ^(B)their knowledge of the truth, ^(C)which accords with godliness, ^2 (D)in hope of eternal life, which God, ^(E)who never lies, ^(F)promised ^(G)before the ages began^{[b] 3} and ^(H)at the proper time manifested in his word^{[c] (I)}through the preaching ^(J)with which I have been entrusted ^(K)by the command of God our Savior;

¹⁹ For ^(A)though I am free from all, ^(B)I have made myself a servant to all, that I might ^(C)win more of them.
