⁴ The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife.

⁹ I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”^(A)

³ Then I told her, “You are to live with me many days; you must not be a prostitute or be intimate with any man, and I will behave the same way toward you.”

¹¹ He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.^{(A) 12} And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”^(B)
