¹⁹ Or ^(A)do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, ^(B)and you are not your own?

^16 (A)Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

¹⁶ And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For ^(A)you^[a] are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

⁵ you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

²¹ in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into ^(A)a holy temple in the Lord, ^22 (B)in whom you also are being built together for a ^(C)dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

¹⁵ Do you not know that ^(A)your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! ¹⁶ Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For ^(B)“the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”

²¹ But He was speaking ^(A)of the temple of His body.

^14 (A)who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed ^(B)and purify for Himself ^(C)His own special people, zealous for good works.

¹⁵ and He died for all, ^(A)that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
