^13 (A)Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for ^(B)sexual immorality but ^(C)for the Lord, ^(D)and the Lord for the body.

¹⁹ Or ^(A)do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, ^(B)and you are not your own?

^16 (A)Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

^12 (A)Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

³ For this is ^(A)the will of God, ^(B)your sanctification: ^(C)that you should abstain from sexual immorality; ^4 (D)that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, ^5 (E)not in passion of lust, ^(F)like the Gentiles ^(G)who do not know God; ⁶ that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord ^(H)is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. ⁷ For God did not call us to uncleanness, ^(I)but in holiness.

¹⁵ Do you not know that ^(A)your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!

²³ For ^(A)the husband is head of the wife, as also ^(B)Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

¹⁷ Do you not yet understand that ^(A)whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated?

^17 (A)for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and ^(B)peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

⁷ For ^(A)none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. ⁸ For if we ^(B)live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. ⁹ For ^(C)to this end Christ died ^[a]and rose and lived again, that He might be ^(D)Lord of both the dead and the living.
