¹⁶ But now you boast in your arrogance. ^(A)All such boasting is evil.

³³ Do not be deceived: ^(A)“Evil company corrupts good habits.”

^2 (A)And you are ^[a]puffed up, and have not rather ^(B)mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you.

The Parable of the Leaven^(A)

^33 (B)Another parable He spoke to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three ^[a]measures of meal till ^(C)it was all leavened.”

¹⁷ And their message will spread like cancer. ^(A)Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort,

^18 (A)Now some are ^[a]puffed up, as though I were not coming to you. ^19 (B)But I will come to you shortly, ^(C)if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.
