⁴ In the ^(A)name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, ^(B)with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

³ since you seek a proof of Christ ^(A)speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty ^(B)in you.

^23 (A)If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

Warning Against Idleness

⁶ But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, ^(A)that you withdraw ^(B)from every brother who walks ^(C)disorderly and not according to the tradition which ^[a]he received from us.

¹⁷ And ^(A)whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

^10 (A)Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the ^(B)authority which the Lord has given me for edification and not for destruction.

^19 (A)And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth ^[a]will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

^20 (A)giving thanks always for all things to God the Father ^(B)in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁹ For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are ^(A)obedient in all things. ¹⁰ Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For ^[a]if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,

¹⁸ And this she did for many days.

But Paul, ^(A)greatly ^[a]annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” ^(B)And he came out that very hour.
