¹⁶ I appeal to you, then, be imitators of me.^(A)

⁹ This was not because we do not have that right but in order to give you an example to imitate.^(A)

11 ¹ Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.^(A)

¹⁷ Brothers and sisters, join in imitating me, and observe those who live according to the example you have in us.^(A)

⁶ And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for in spite of persecution you received the word with joy from the Holy Spirit,^(A)

⁷ Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.

⁹ As for the things that you have learned and received and heard and noticed in me, do them, and the God of peace will be with you.^(A)

⁴ When he has brought out all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. ⁵ They will not follow a stranger, but they will run from him because they do not know the voice of strangers.”

³ Do not lord it over those in your charge, but be examples to the flock.^(A)
