^10 (A)We are fools for Christ's sake, but ^(B)you are wise in Christ. ^(C)We are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute.

³ And ^(A)I was with you ^(B)in weakness and in fear and much trembling,

²⁴ And as he was saying these things in his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, ^(A)you are out of your mind; your great learning is driving you out of your mind.”

¹⁸ Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers also conversed with him. And some said, ^(A)“What does this babbler wish to say?” Others said, “He seems to be a preacher of foreign divinities”—because ^(B)he was preaching ^(C)Jesus and the resurrection.

^14 (A)If you are insulted ^(B)for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory^[a] and of God rests upon you.

⁹ For we are glad when ^(A)we are weak and you are strong. Your ^(B)restoration is what we pray for.

^18 (A)Let no one deceive himself. ^(B)If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.

⁸ Therefore ^(A)whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, ^(B)who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

³ since you seek proof that Christ ^(A)is speaking in me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but ^(B)is powerful among you. ⁴ For ^(C)he was crucified in weakness, but ^(D)lives by the power of God. For ^(E)we also are weak in him, but in dealing with you ^(F)we will live with him by the power of God.

⁹ But he said to me, ^(A)“My grace is sufficient for you, for ^(B)my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that ^(C)the power of Christ may rest upon me. ^10 (D)For the sake of Christ, then, ^(E)I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For ^(F)when I am weak, then I am strong.
