The Faithful Manager

4 A person should consider us in this way: as servants^(A) of Christ and managers^(B) of God’s mysteries.^(C)

² In this regard, it is expected of managers that each one of them be found faithful.^(A)

Food Offered to Idols

8 About food offered to idols:^(A) We know that “we all have knowledge.”^[a] Knowledge inflates with pride,^(B) but love^(C) builds up. ² If anyone thinks he knows anything, he does not yet know it as he ought to know it.^{(D) 3} But if anyone loves God,^(E) he is known^(F) by Him.

¹³ We also speak these things, not in words^(A) taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people.^[a]

¹⁴ But the unbeliever^[a] does not welcome what comes from God’s Spirit, because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to understand it since it is evaluated^[b] spiritually.

The Dragon Thrown Out of Heaven

⁷ Then war broke out in heaven: Michael^(A) and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels also fought,

²⁰ But I have this against you: You tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and deceives My slaves to commit sexual immorality^[a] and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.
