⁵ What then is Apollos? What is Paul? ^(A)Servants through whom you believed, ^(B)as the Lord assigned to each.

⁴ but ^(A)as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: ^(B)by great endurance, ^(C)in afflictions, ^(D)hardships, calamities,

^10 (A)As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, ^(B)as good stewards of God's varied grace:

6 ^(A)Working together with him, then, ^(B)we appeal to you ^(C)not to receive the grace of God in vain.

⁶ who has made us sufficient to be ^(A)ministers of ^(B)a new covenant, not of ^(C)the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but ^(D)the Spirit gives life.

²³ Are they ^(A)servants of Christ? ^(B)I am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, ^(C)far more imprisonments, ^(D)with countless beatings, and ^(E)often near death.

Treasure in Jars of Clay

⁷ But we have this treasure in ^(A)jars of clay, ^(B)to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.

³ And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of ^(A)the living God, not on ^(B)tablets of stone but on ^(C)tablets of ^(D)human hearts.^[a]

^10 (A)According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled^[a] master builder I laid a ^(B)foundation, and ^(C)someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it.
