¹¹ For no one can lay a ^(A)foundation other ^(B)than that which is laid, ^(C)which is Jesus Christ.

^20 (A)built on the foundation of the ^(B)apostles and prophets, ^(C)Christ Jesus himself being ^(D)the cornerstone,

¹⁹ But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: ^(A)“The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone ^(B)who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

^11 (A)This Jesus^[a] is the stone that was ^(B)rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.^{[b] 12} And there is ^(C)salvation ^(D)in no one else, for ^(E)there is no other ^(F)name under heaven given among men^[c] by which we must be saved.”

⁶ For it stands in Scripture:

⁷ So the honor is for you who ^(C)believe, but for those who ^(D)do not believe,

⁸ and

They stumble because they disobey the word, ^(G)as they were destined to do.

¹⁸ And I tell you, ^(A)you are Peter, and ^(B)on this rock^[a] I will build my church, and ^(C)the gates of ^(D)hell^[b] shall not prevail against it.

^7 (A)not that there is another one, but ^(B)there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But even if we or ^(C)an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, ^(D)let him be accursed. ⁹ As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, ^(E)let him be accursed.

² For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since ^(A)I betrothed you to one husband, ^(B)to present you ^(C)as a pure virgin to Christ. ³ But I am afraid that ^(D)as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts ^(E)will be led astray from a ^(F)sincere and ^(G)pure devotion to Christ. ⁴ For if someone comes and ^(H)proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept ^(I)a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.
