Spiritual Wisdom

⁶ However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

¹⁴ But solid food belongs to those who are ^[a]of full age, that is, those who by reason of ^[b]use have their senses exercised ^(A)to discern both good and evil.

^15 (A)This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.

⁴ whose minds ^(A)the god of this age ^(B)has blinded, who do not believe, lest ^(C)the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, ^(D)who is the image of God, should shine on them.

¹⁰ But ^[a]may the God of all grace, ^(A)who called ^[b]us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, ^[c]perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

¹¹ And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, ¹² for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, ^(A)for the ^[a]edifying of ^(B)the body of Christ, ¹³ till we all come to the unity of the faith ^(C)and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to ^(D)a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

⁸ which none of the rulers of this age knew; for ^(A)had they known, they would not have ^(B)crucified the Lord of glory.

²⁸ and the ^[a]base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

Christ the Power and Wisdom of God^(A)

¹⁸ For the ^[a]message of the cross is ^(B)foolishness to ^(C)those who are perishing, but to us ^(D)who are being saved it is the ^(E)power of God. ¹⁹ For it is written:

^20 (G)Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the ^[b]disputer of this age? ^(H)Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
