^27 (A)The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord,
Searching all the ^[a]inner depths of his heart.

³⁴ “For who has known the ^(A)mind of the Lord?
Or ^(B)who has become His counselor?”

⁹ “The ^(A)heart is deceitful above all things,
And ^[a]desperately wicked;
Who can know it?

¹⁰ The heart knows its own bitterness,
And a stranger does not share its joy.

⁵ Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water,
But a man of understanding will draw it out.
