⁷ This time I don’t want to make just a short visit and then go right on. I want to come and stay awhile, if the Lord will let me.

²¹ As he left, however, he said, “I will come back later,^[a] God willing.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.

¹⁵ What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.”

¹⁹ But I will come—and soon—if the Lord lets me, and then I’ll find out whether these arrogant people just give pretentious speeches or whether they really have God’s power.

¹⁵ Since I was so sure of your understanding and trust, I wanted to give you a double blessing by visiting you twice—

¹⁰ One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you.
