⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and ^(A)this mortal must put on immortality.

² For in this ^(A)we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our ^[a]habitation which is from heaven, ³ if indeed, ^(B)having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. ⁴ For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, ^(C)but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.

² Beloved, ^(A)now we are children of God; and ^(B)it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, ^(C)we shall be like Him, for ^(D)we shall see Him as He is.

⁷ eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;

²⁴ and that you ^(A)put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

¹² The night is far spent, the day is at hand. ^(A)Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and ^(B)let us put on the armor of light. ^13 (C)Let us walk ^[a]properly, as in the day, ^(D)not in revelry and drunkenness, ^(E)not in lewdness and lust, ^(F)not in strife and envy. ¹⁴ But ^(G)put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and ^(H)make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

²⁷ For ^(A)as many of you as were baptized into Christ ^(B)have put on Christ.
