²³ The moon will be dismayed,
    the sun^(A) ashamed;
for the Lord Almighty will reign^(B)
    on Mount Zion^(C) and in Jerusalem,
    and before its elders—with great glory.^(D)

³ Praise him, sun^(A) and moon;
    praise him, all you shining stars.
⁴ Praise him, you highest heavens^(B)
    and you waters above the skies.^(C)

⁵ Let them praise the name^(D) of the Lord,
    for at his command^(E) they were created,

³ When I consider your heavens,^(A)
    the work of your fingers,^(B)
the moon and the stars,^(C)
    which you have set in place,

²⁶ if I have regarded the sun^(A) in its radiance
    or the moon^(B) moving in splendor,
