³⁶ Fool! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.^(A)

²⁴ Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain, but if it dies it bears much fruit.

⁴⁰ You fools! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?

¹⁵ Be careful, then, how you live,^[a] not as unwise people but as wise,

²² Claiming to be wise, they became fools,

²⁵ Then he said to them, “Oh, how foolish you are and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have declared!

²⁰ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life is being demanded of you. And the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’^(A)
