¹⁵ What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also; ^(A)I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will ^(B)sing with my mind also.

¹⁶ Let ^(A)the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, ^(B)singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, ^(C)with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

¹⁸ praying ^(A)at all times ^(B)in the Spirit, ^(C)with all prayer and supplication. To that end, ^(D)keep alert with all perseverance, making ^(E)supplication for all the saints,

²³ But ^(A)the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father ^(B)in spirit and ^(C)truth, for the Father ^(D)is seeking such people to worship him. ²⁴ God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

¹⁷ Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what ^(A)the will of the Lord is. ¹⁸ And ^(B)do not get drunk with wine, for that is ^(C)debauchery, but ^(D)be filled with the Spirit, ¹⁹ addressing one another in ^(E)psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, ^20 (F)giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father ^(G)in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

²⁰ But you, beloved, ^(A)building yourselves up in your most holy faith and ^(B)praying in the Holy Spirit,

A Living Sacrifice

12 ^(A)I appeal to you therefore, brothers,^[a] by the mercies of God, ^(B)to present your bodies ^(C)as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.^{[b] 2 (D)}Do not be conformed to this world,^[c] but be transformed by ^(E)the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may ^(F)discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.^[d]

¹⁹ Nevertheless, in church I would rather speak five words with my mind in order to instruct others, than ten thousand words in a tongue.
