¹³ Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.

³⁰ Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?^(A)

²⁴ So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received^[a] it, and it will be yours.^(A)

²⁷ If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three and each in turn, and let one interpret. ²⁸ But if there is no one to interpret, let them be silent in church and speak to themselves and to God.

¹⁰ to another the working of powerful deeds, to another prophecy, to another the discernment of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.^(A)

¹⁵ The two went down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit^(A)

²⁹ And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness,^{(A) 30} while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant^[a] Jesus.”^{(B) 31} When they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.^(C)

¹⁴ All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers.^(A)

¹³ I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴ If in my name you ask me^[a] for anything, I will do it.
