^7 (A)Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, ^(B)endures all things.

⁸ Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since ^(A)love covers a multitude of sins.

²⁴ And ^(A)the Lord's servant^[a] must not be quarrelsome but ^(B)kind to everyone, ^(C)able to teach, patiently enduring evil,

^4 (A)Love is patient and ^(B)kind; love ^(C)does not envy or boast; it ^(D)is not arrogant

^24 (A)He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we ^(B)might die to sin and ^(C)live to righteousness. ^(D)By his wounds you have been healed.

¹² If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more?

Nevertheless, ^(A)we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything ^(B)rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

^2 (A)Bear one another's burdens, and ^(B)so fulfill ^(C)the law of Christ.

^3 (A)Share in suffering as ^(B)a good soldier of Christ Jesus. ⁴ No soldier ^(C)gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. ^5 (D)An athlete is not ^(E)crowned unless he competes according to the rules. ⁶ It is ^(F)the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops. ⁷ Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, ^(G)risen from the dead, the ^(H)offspring of David, ^(I)as preached in my gospel, ^9 (J)for which I am suffering, ^(K)bound with chains as a criminal. But ^(L)the word of God is not bound! ¹⁰ Therefore ^(M)I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain ^(N)the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with ^(O)eternal glory.
