⁹ Likewise, I want ^(A)women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, ^[a]modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive apparel,

³ For ^(A)the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, ^[a](B)having pursued a course of indecent behavior, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, and wanton idolatries.

¹³ Let’s ^[a](A)behave properly as in the day, ^(B)not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and debauchery, not in strife and jealousy.

⁴⁹ Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had ^(A)arrogance, ^(B)plenty of food, and ^(C)carefree ease, but she did not ^[a]help the ^(D)poor and needy.

¹⁸ And ^(A)do not get drunk with wine, ^[a]in which there is ^(B)debauchery, but be ^(C)filled with the Spirit,
