⁴ Now there are varieties of gifts but the same Spirit,^(A)

²⁸ And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then deeds of power, then gifts of healing, forms of assistance, forms of leadership, various kinds of tongues.^(A)

⁴ while God added his testimony by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, distributed according to his will.^(A)

⁸ To one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,^{(A) 9} to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,^{(B) 10} to another the working of powerful deeds, to another prophecy, to another the discernment of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.^{(C) 11} All these are activated by one and the same Spirit, who allots to each one individually just as the Spirit chooses.^(D)

¹⁰ Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.^(A)

⁴ For as in one body we have many members and not all the members have the same function,^{(A) 5} so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. ⁶ We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith;^(B)

⁴ there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling,^{(A) 5} one Lord, one faith, one baptism, ⁶ one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.^[a]
