One Body with Many Members

¹² For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.^(A)

⁴ For as in one body we have many members and not all the members have the same function,^{(A) 5} so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.

¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ^[a] rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.^(A)

²⁷ Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.^(A)

¹⁵ but speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,^{(A) 16} from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love.

¹⁹ and not holding fast to the head, from whom the whole body, nourished and held together by its ligaments and tendons, grows with a growth that is from God.^(A)

⁴ there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling,^(A)

¹⁷ Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.^(A)

³⁰ because we are members of his body.^[a](A)

¹⁸ He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything.^(A)
