^10 (A)to another the working of miracles, to another ^(B)prophecy, to another ^(C)discerning of spirits, to another ^(D)different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

Love for God and One Another

4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but ^(A)test the spirits, whether they are of God; because ^(B)many false prophets have gone out into the world.

¹⁷ And these ^(A)signs will follow those who ^[a]believe: ^(B)In My name they will cast out demons; ^(C)they will speak with new tongues;

³⁹ Therefore, brethren, ^(A)desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.

²⁸ And ^(A)God has appointed these in the church: first ^(B)apostles, second ^(C)prophets, third teachers, after that ^(D)miracles, then ^(E)gifts of healings, ^(F)helps, ^(G)administrations, varieties of tongues. ²⁹ Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? ³⁰ Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

⁵ Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—

God’s Spirit Poured Out

³¹ For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. ³² And ^(A)the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

Order in Church Meetings

²⁶ How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, ^(A)has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. ^(B)Let all things be done for ^[a]edification. ²⁷ If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. ²⁸ But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God. ²⁹ Let two or three prophets speak, and ^(C)let the others judge.
