²⁷ Therefore whoever eats ^(A)this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and ^[a]blood of the Lord.

⁵¹ I am the living bread ^(A)which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and ^(B)the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

^29 (A)Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, ^(B)counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, ^(C)and insulted the Spirit of grace?

^21 (A)You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and ^(B)the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the ^(C)Lord’s table and of the table of demons.

¹³ But the man who is clean and is not on a journey, and ceases to keep the Passover, that same person ^(A)shall be cut off from among his people, because he ^(B)did not bring the offering of the Lord at its appointed time; that man shall ^(C)bear his sin.

¹⁰ “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If anyone of you or your ^[a]posterity is unclean because of a corpse, or is far away on a journey, he may still keep the Lord’s Passover.

^63 (A)It is the Spirit who gives life; the ^(B)flesh profits nothing. The ^(C)words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. ⁶⁴ But ^(D)there are some of you who do not believe.” For ^(E)Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.

The Profane Fire of Nadab and Abihu

10 Then ^(A)Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, ^(B)each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered ^(C)profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. ² So ^(D)fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. ³ And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying:

So Aaron held his peace.

¹⁸ For a multitude of the people, ^(A)many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, ^(B)yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the good Lord provide atonement for everyone ¹⁹ who ^(C)prepares his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.” ²⁰ And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.
