²⁸ But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” do not eat it ^(A)for the sake of the one who told you, and for conscience’ sake; ^[a]for ^(B)“the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.”

¹⁰ For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol’s temple, will not ^(A)the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat those things offered to idols? ¹¹ And ^(B)because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? ¹² But ^(C)when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. ¹³ Therefore, ^(D)if food makes my brother stumble, I will never again eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.

¹⁵ Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. ^(A)Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.

²⁶ for ^(A)“the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.”

⁷ However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, ^(A)with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is ^(B)defiled.

³¹ “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ ³² For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

^5 (A)‘I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and ^(B)have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me. ^6 (C)And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, ^(D)My servant; and ^(E)the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him.

¹⁴ Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the ^(A)Lord your God, also the earth with all that is in it.
