  1. 1 Corinthians 10:18 Greek Consider Israel according to the flesh

For (A)we are the circumcision, (B)who worship (C)by the Spirit of God[a] and (D)glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh— (E)though I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh, I have more: (F)circumcised on the eighth day, (G)of the people of Israel, (H)of the tribe of Benjamin, (I)a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, (J)a Pharisee;

One in Christ

11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called (A)the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember (B)that you were at that time separated from Christ, (C)alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to (D)the covenants of promise, (E)having no hope and without God in the world.

18 Since (A)many boast according to the flesh, I too will boast. 19 For you gladly bear with fools, (B)being wise yourselves! 20 For you bear it if someone (C)makes slaves of you, or (D)devours you, or takes advantage of you, or puts on airs, or (E)strikes you in the face. 21 To my shame, I must say, (F)we were too weak for that!

But whatever anyone else dares to boast of—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast of that. 22 Are they Hebrews? (G)So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they offspring of Abraham? So am I.

  1. Romans 1:3 Or who came from the offspring of David

And from the sacrifice of the peace offering, as a food offering to the Lord, he shall offer (A)the fat covering the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, (B)and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove with the kidneys. Then Aaron's sons (C)shall burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering, which is on the wood on the fire; it is a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

For (A)I could wish that I myself were (B)accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers,[a] my kinsmen (C)according to the flesh. They are (D)Israelites, and to them belong (E)the adoption, (F)the glory, (G)the covenants, (H)the giving of the law, (I)the worship, and (J)the promises. To them belong (K)the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, (L)who is God over all, (M)blessed forever. Amen.

But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham (N)because they are his offspring, but (O)“Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but (P)the children of the promise are counted as offspring.

12 They answered, “He is; behold, he is just ahead of you. Hurry. He has come just now to the city, because the people (A)have a sacrifice today on (B)the high place. 13 As soon as you enter the city you will find him, before he goes up to the high place to eat. For the people will not eat till he comes, since he must bless the sacrifice; afterward those who are invited will eat. Now go up, for you will meet him immediately.”

13 The custom of the priests with the people was that when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant would come, while the meat was boiling, with a three-pronged fork in his hand, 14 and he would thrust it into the pan or kettle or cauldron or pot. All that the fork brought up the priest would take for himself. This is what they did at Shiloh to all the Israelites who came there. 15 Moreover, (A)before the fat was burned, the priest's servant would come and say to the man who was sacrificing, “Give meat for the priest to roast, for he will not accept boiled meat from you but only raw.” 16 And if the man said to him, “Let them burn the fat first, and then take as much as you wish,” he would say, “No, you must give it now, and if not, I will take it by force.”

11 “And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings that one may offer to the Lord. 12 If he offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the thanksgiving sacrifice (A)unleavened loaves mixed with oil, unleavened wafers smeared with oil, and loaves of fine flour (B)well mixed with oil. 13 (C)With the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving he shall bring his offering with loaves of leavened bread. 14 And from it he shall offer one loaf from each offering, as a (D)gift to the Lord. (E)It shall belong to the priest who throws the blood of the peace offerings. 15 And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings (F)for thanksgiving shall be eaten on the day of his offering. He shall not leave any of it until the morning. 16 But (G)if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow offering or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the next day what remains of it shall be eaten. 17 But what remains of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned up with fire.
