¹² Now I say this, that ^(A)each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of ^(B)Apollos,” or “I am of ^(C)Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.”

²¹ Therefore let no one boast in men. For ^(A)all things are yours: ²² whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come—all are yours. ²³ And ^(B)you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

⁴² And he brought him to Jesus.

Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of ^[a]Jonah. ^(A)You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, ^[b]A Stone).

⁹ Do not call anyone on earth your father; ^(A)for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. ¹⁰ And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.

⁴ For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?

Watering, Working, Warning

⁵ Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ^(A)ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? ^6 (B)I planted, ^(C)Apollos watered, ^(D)but God gave the increase.

¹⁷ And this I say, that the law, ^(A)which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God ^[a]in Christ, ^(B)that it should make the promise of no effect.

⁹ and when James, ^[a]Cephas, and John, who seemed to be ^(A)pillars, perceived ^(B)the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, ^(C)that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

The Cheerful Giver

^6 (A)But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows ^[a]bountifully will also reap ^[b]bountifully.

¹² Now concerning our brother ^(A)Apollos, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brethren, but he was quite unwilling to come at this time; however, he will come when he has a convenient time.
