David à Jérusalem(A)
14 Hiram, le roi de Tyr, envoya une délégation à David en lui faisant livrer du bois de cèdre et en lui envoyant des tailleurs de pierre et des charpentiers pour lui construire un palais. 2 David reconnut alors que l’Eternel le confirmait comme roi sur Israël et qu’il donnait beaucoup d’éclat à son règne à cause d’Israël son peuple.
3 Après son installation à Jérusalem, David épousa encore d’autres femmes, et il eut des fils et des filles. 4 Voici le nom des enfants qui lui naquirent à Jérusalem : Shammoua, Shobab, Nathan, Salomon, 5 Yibhar, Elishoua, Elpéleth, 6 Noga, Népheg, Yaphia, 7 Elishama, Beélyada et Eliphéleth.
David vainqueur des Philistins(B)
8 Lorsque les Philistins apprirent que David avait été établi roi sur tout Israël par l’onction, ils se mirent tous en campagne à sa recherche. David en fut informé et marcha à leur rencontre. 9 Les Philistins arrivèrent et investirent la vallée des Rephaïm[a]. 10 David consulta Dieu et lui demanda : Dois-je attaquer les Philistins ? Me donneras-tu la victoire sur eux ?
L’Eternel lui répondit : Attaque-les ! et je te donnerai la victoire sur eux.
11 Les Philistins s’avancèrent jusqu’à Baal-Peratsim et David les battit là. Puis il déclara : Dieu a fait une brèche, par ma main, dans le rang de mes ennemis, comme les eaux rompent une digue.
C’est pourquoi on a donné à ce lieu le nom de Baal-Peratsim (le Maître des brèches). 12 Les Philistins abandonnèrent leurs divinités sur place et David donna l’ordre de les brûler.
13 Les Philistins envahirent de nouveau la vallée. 14 David consulta encore Dieu, qui lui répondit : Ne les suis pas ! Contourne-les à bonne distance, puis reviens sur eux en face de la forêt des mûriers[b]. 15 Quand tu entendras un bruissement de pas dans les cimes des mûriers, alors lance-toi à l’attaque, car je me serai mis en campagne devant toi pour battre l’armée des Philistins.
16 David fit ce que Dieu lui avait ordonné, et ses troupes battirent l’armée des Philistins en les poursuivant de Gabaon[c] jusqu’à Guézer[d]. 17 Dès lors la renommée de David se répandit dans tous les pays, et l’Eternel le fit redouter par tous les autres peuples.

大衛的宮殿和家人
14 泰爾王希蘭差遣使者帶著香柏木、木匠和石匠去為大衛建造宮殿。 2 那時，大衛知道耶和華已立他做以色列的王，並因自己以色列子民的緣故而使他國家興旺。
3 大衛在耶路撒冷又娶了多位妻子，生了許多兒女。 4 他在耶路撒冷所生的孩子有沙姆亞、朔罷、拿單、所羅門、 5 益轄、以利書亞、以法列、 6 挪迦、尼斐、雅非亞、 7 以利沙瑪、比利雅大和以利法列。
打敗非利士人
8 非利士人聽說大衛已被膏立為以色列王，就全軍出動搜尋大衛。大衛得知後，便出來迎敵。 9 非利士人前來襲擊利乏音谷。 10 大衛就求問上帝說：「我可以去迎戰非利士人嗎？你會把他們交在我手裡嗎？」耶和華說：「去吧，我必把他們交在你手裡。」
11 於是，大衛前往巴力·毗拉心，擊敗了非利士人。他說：「上帝藉我的手擊潰敵人，如洪水沖垮堤岸。」所以，那地方叫巴力·毗拉心[a]。 12 非利士人在那裡丟棄了他們的神像，大衛命人把它們燒掉。 13 非利士人又來襲擊那山谷， 14 大衛又求問上帝，上帝對他說：「你不要正面出擊，要繞到他們後面，從桑林對面攻打他們。 15 當你聽見桑樹梢上響起腳步聲時，就要進攻，因為那表示耶和華已在你前頭去攻擊非利士的軍隊了。」 16 大衛遵命而行，打敗非利士人，從基遍一直殺到基色。 17 於是，大衛名揚列國，耶和華使列國都懼怕他。

14 Huram king of Tzor sent envoys to David with cedar logs, and with them stonemasons and carpenters, to build him a palace. 2 David then knew that Adonai had set him up as king over Isra’el; because, for the sake of his people Isra’el, his royal power had been greatly increased.
3 David took more concubines and wives in Yerushalayim, and David became father of more sons and daughters. 4 Here are the names of the children born to him in Yerushalayim: Shamua, Shovav, Natan, Shlomo, 5 Yivchar, Elishua, Elpelet, 6 Nogah, Nefeg, Yafia, 7 Elishama, Be‘elyada and Elifelet.
8 When the P’lishtim heard that David had been anointed king over all Isra’el, all the P’lishtim went up in search of David. On hearing of it, David went to attack them. 9 Now the P’lishtim came and made a raid in the Refa’im Valley. 10 David consulted God, asking, “Should I attack the P’lishtim? Will you hand them over to me?” Adonai answered David, “Attack; I will hand them over to you.” 11 So they went up to Ba‘al-P’ratzim, and David defeated them there. David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my power like a river breaking through its banks.” This is why they called the place Ba‘al-P’ratzim [Lord of breaking through]. 12 The P’lishtim had left their gods there, so David gave an order, and they were burned up completely.
13 The P’lishtim came up again and raided the valley. 14 David consulted God again, but God told him, “Don’t attack them! Turn away from them, and engage them opposite the balsam trees. 15 When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, move out, and attack; because God has gone out ahead of you to defeat the army of the P’lishtim.” 16 David did as God had ordered him to do and pursued his attack on the army of the P’lishtim from Giv‘on to Gezer.
17 So David’s reputation spread to all countries, and Adonai brought the fear of him on all nations.
