⁷Man holte sie aus Abinadabs Haus und lud sie auf einen neuen Wagen, der von Rindern gezogen wurde. Usa und Achjo lenkten ihn. ⁸David und alle Israeliten liefen dem Wagen hinterher. Sie sangen und tanzten mit ganzer Hingabe, sie spielten auf Harfen und Lauten, auf Tamburinen, Zimbeln und Trompeten, um Gott zu loben.

⁹Bei dem Dreschplatz, der einem Mann namens Kidon gehörte, brachen die Rinder plötzlich aus, und der Wagen drohte umzustürzen. Schnell streckte Usa seine Hand aus, um die Bundeslade festzuhalten.

⁷And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.

⁸And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.

⁹And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.

⁷They moved the ark of God from Abinadab’s^(A) house on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding it. ⁸David and all the Israelites were celebrating with all their might before God, with songs and with harps, lyres, timbrels, cymbals and trumpets.^(B)

⁹When they came to the threshing floor of Kidon, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, because the oxen stumbled.
