1 Chronicles 9:27-29

27 And they lodged all around the house of God, for upon them was a responsibility. And they had charge of opening the house of God every morning.[a]
28 And some of them were over the utensils of the service, for they count them[b] when they are brought in and they count them[c] when they are brought out. 29 And some of them were appointed over the objects, over the objects of the sanctuary, and over the wheat flour and the wine, the olive oil, the frankincense, and the spices.

27 And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.
28 And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.
29 Some of them also were appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

New International Version
27 They would spend the night stationed around the house of God,(A) because they had to guard it; and they had charge of the key(B) for opening it each morning.
28 Some of them were in charge of the articles used in the temple service; they counted them when they were brought in and when they were taken out. 29 Others were assigned to take care of the furnishings and all the other articles of the sanctuary,(C) as well as the special flour and wine, and the olive oil, incense and spices.
