16 Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; Berekiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 Now the gatekeepers were
Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their brothers (Shallum was the head officer 18 who until then had served at the king’s eastern gate). They were the gatekeepers for the camps of the Levites.

17 And the porters were Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chief.
18 For they were porters to this time by companies of the children of Levi unto the [a]King’s gate Eastward.

17 The gatekeepers:(B)
Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman and their fellow Levites, Shallum their chief 18 being stationed at the King’s Gate(C) on the east, up to the present time. These were the gatekeepers belonging to the camp of the Levites.
