New English Translation

¹⁷The son^[a] of Ulam: Bedan.

These were the sons of Gilead, son of Makir, son of Manasseh. ¹⁸His sister Hammoleketh gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.

¹⁹The sons of Shemida were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.

¹⁷And the sons of Ulam; Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.

¹⁸And his sister Hammoleketh bare Ishod, and Abiezer, and Mahalah.

¹⁹And the sons of Shemidah were, Ahian, and Shechem, and Likhi, and Aniam.

¹⁷The son of Ulam was

Bedan.

These were the members of the family line of Makir, the son of Manasseh. Gilead was the son of Makir.

¹⁸Gilead’s sister was Hammoleketh. She was the mother of Ishhod, Abiezer and Mahlah.

¹⁹The sons of Shemida were

Ahian, Shechem, Likhi and Aniam.
