5 Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2 For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)
3 The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
4 The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
5 Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
6 Beerah his son, whom Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
7 And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
8 And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baalmeon:
9 And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
10 And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
11 And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salcah:
12 Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13 And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
14 These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
15 Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
16 And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
17 All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18 The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19 And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20 And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
21 And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
22 For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
23 And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baalhermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
24 And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
25 And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.

4 Ab’enda ya Yoweeri baali
Semaaya mutabani we, ne Gogi muzzukulu we,
ne Simeeyi muzzukulu we. 5 Mikka yali mutabani wa Simeeyi,
ne Leyaya n’aba muzzukulu we, ne Baali n’aba muzzukulu we.
6 (D)Mutabani wa Baali yali Beera, omukulu w’ekika ky’Abalewubeeni, Tirugazupiruneseri kabaka w’e Busuuli gwe yatwala mu buwaŋŋanguse.
7 (E)Baganda be ng’enda zaabwe bwe zaali be bano:
Yeyeri omukulu w’ekika, Zekkaliya, 8 (F)Bera mutabani wa Azozi, muzzukulu wa Sema, muzzukulu wa Yoweeri.
Be baasenga mu Aloweri okutuuka e Nebo ne Baalu Myoni. 9 (G)Ate baasenga n’ebuvanjuba w’eddungu okutuukira ddala ku mugga Fulaati, kubanga amagana gaabwe gaali gaaze nnyo.
10 (H)Awo ku mirembe gya Sawulo ne balumba Abakaguli, era Abakaguli ne bagwa mu mikono gyabwe, era bali ne beegazaanyiza mu nsi y’Abakaguli okutuukira ddala ku luuyi olw’ebuvanjuba olw’e Gireyaadi.
Ekika kya Gaadi
11 (I)Bazzukulu ba Gaadi baabeeranga okuliraana Basani okwolekera Saleka.
12 Yoweeri ye yali omukulembeze, ne Safamu nga ye mumyuka we, ate ne wabaawo ne Yanayi ne Safati mu Basani.
13 Baganda baabwe mu nda z’abajjajjaabwe bwe baali
Mikayiri, ne Mesullamu, ne Seeba, ne Yolayi, ne Yakani, ne Ziya, ne Eberi, bonna awamu musanvu.
14 Bano be baali ab’omu nnyumba ya Abikayiri mutabani wa Kuuli, muzzukulu wa Yalowa, muzzukulu wa Gireyaadi, muzzukulu wa Mikayiri, muzzukulu wa Yesisayi, muzzukulu wa Yakudo, ne muzzukulu wa Buzi.
15 Aki mutabani wa Abudyeri, muzzukulu wa Guni, omukulu w’ennyumba yaabwe.
16 Baabeeranga mu Gireyaadi, mu Basani, ne mu bibuga byayo ebirala ne mu malundiro g’e Saloni okutuuka ku nsalo yaayo.
17 (J)Bino byonna byawandiikibwa mu bitabo ebyafaayo mu mirembe gya Yosamu kabaka wa Yuda, ne Yerobowaamu kabaka wa Isirayiri.
18 (K)Abalewubeeni, n’Abagaadi, n’ekitundu ky’ekika kya Manase baalina abasajja emitwalo ena mu enkumi nnya mu lusanvu mu nkaaga, ab’amaanyi era nga bazira mu kukwata engabo, ekitala, ne mu kukozesa obusaale, era nga batendeke mu kulwana. 19 (L)Ne balumba Abakaguli, ne Yetuli, ne Nafisi ne Nodabu. 20 (M)Olw’okwesiga n’okusaba Katonda okubabeera, baawangula Abakaguli mu lutalo. 21 Baanyaga amagana g’ente, n’eŋŋamira emitwalo etaano, n’endiga emitwalo abiri mu etaano n’endogoyi enkumi bbiri ate ne bawamba n’abasajja emitwalo kkumi. 22 (N)Era bangi ku bo battibwa kubanga olutalo lwali lwa Katonda. Ne basenga eyo okutuusa lwe baawaŋŋangusibwa.

23 (O)Abantu ab’ekitundu ky’ekika kya Manase baali bangi nnyo, era baasenga mu nsi eya Basani okutuuka ku Baalukerumooni, ne Seniri, ne ku lusozi Kerumooni.
24 Bano be baali abakulu b’ennyumba zaabwe: Eferi, ne Isi, ne Eryeri, ne Azulyeri, ne Yeremiya, ne Kodaviya, ne Yakudyeri, abasajja abazira era ab’amaanyi, abettutumu, nga gy’emitwe gy’ennyumba zaabwe. 25 (P)Naye ne bakola ebibi ebimenya ebiragiro bya Katonda wa bajjajjaabwe, ne bagoberera bakatonda baamawanga ag’omu nsi eyo, Katonda be yazikiririza mu maaso gaabwe. 26 (Q)Katonda wa Isirayiri kyeyava akubiriza omwoyo gwa Puli kabaka w’e Bwasuli, eyayitibwanga Tirugazupiruneseri, n’alumba Abalewubeeni, n’Abagaadi n’ekitundu ekyali kisigaddewo ku Manase, n’abawamba era n’abatwala mu buwaŋŋanguse e Kala, n’e Kaboli, n’e Kaala ne ku mugga Gozani, gye bali n’okutuusa leero.

Descendentes de Rúben
5 O filho mais velho de Israel[a] era Rúben, mas ele teve relações com uma das concubinas de seu pai e o desonrou.[b] Por isso seus direitos de filho mais velho foram dados aos filhos de seu irmão José. Desse modo, Rúben não aparece nos registros genealógicos como filho mais velho. 2 Os descendentes de Judá se tornaram a tribo mais poderosa e dela veio um governante para a nação,[c] mas os direitos de filho mais velho pertenciam a José.
3 Os filhos de Rúben, filho mais velho de Israel, foram: Enoque, Palu, Hezrom e Carmi.
4 Os descendentes de Joel foram: Semaías, Gogue, Simei, 5 Mica, Reaías, Baal 6 e Beera. Beera era o chefe dos rubenitas quando foram levados ao cativeiro por Tiglate-Pileser,[d] rei da Assíria.
7 Os parentes de Beera, listados em seus registros genealógicos de acordo com seus clãs, foram: Jeiel, o chefe, Zacarias 8 e Belá, filho de Azaz, filho de Sema, filho de Joel.
Os rubenitas habitavam na região que se estende de Aroer até Nebo e Baal-Meom. 9 Uma vez que tinham tantos rebanhos na terra de Gileade, espalharam-se para o leste, em direção ao limite do deserto que se estende para o rio Eufrates.
10 Durante o reinado de Saul, os rubenitas guerrearam contra os hagarenos e os derrotaram. Então passaram a viver nos acampamentos deles em toda a região a leste de Gileade.
Descendentes de Gade
11 Ao lado dos rubenitas, ficaram os descendentes de Gade, que habitavam na terra de Basã até Salcá. 12 Joel foi o chefe na terra de Basã, e Safã, o segundo no poder, seguido de Janai e Safate.
13 Seus parentes, chefes de outros sete clãs, foram: Micael, Mesulão, Seba, Jorai, Jacã, Zia e Héber. 14 Todos esses foram descendentes de Abiail, filho de Huri, filho de Jaroa, filho de Gileade, filho de Micael, filho de Jesisai, filho de Jado, filho de Buz. 15 Aí, filho de Abdiel, filho de Guni, foi o chefe de seus clãs.
16 Os gaditas habitaram na terra de Gileade, em Basã e em seus povoados, e em toda a região de pastagens de Sarom. 17 Todos foram listados nos registros genealógicos no tempo de Jotão, rei de Judá, e de Jeroboão, rei de Israel.
As tribos a leste do Jordão
18 Havia 44.760 homens aptos para a guerra nos exércitos de Rúben e Gade e da meia tribo de Manassés. Eram todos hábeis no combate e armados com escudos, espadas e arcos. 19 Guerrearam contra os hagarenos e contra Jetur, Nafis e Nodabe. 20 Durante a batalha, clamaram a Deus e ele atendeu às suas orações, pois confiaram nele. Assim, os hagarenos e todos os seus aliados foram derrotados. 21 Tomaram dos hagarenos como despojo 50 mil camelos, 250 mil ovelhas e 2 mil jumentos, e fizeram 100 mil prisioneiros. 22 Muitos dos hagarenos foram mortos na batalha, pois Deus lutou contra eles. As tribos se estabeleceram na terra deles, até que foram levadas para o exílio.
23 A meia tribo de Manassés era numerosa e se espalhou por toda a terra, desde Basã até Baal-Hermom, Senir e o monte Hermom. 24 Os chefes de seus clãs foram: Éfer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremias, Hodavias e Jadiel. Esses homens foram guerreiros valentes de grande reputação e chefes de seus clãs.
25 Contudo, essas tribos foram infiéis ao Deus de seus antepassados. Adoraram os deuses das nações que Deus havia destruído diante deles. 26 Por isso, o Deus de Israel fez Pul, rei da Assíria, também conhecido como Tiglate-Pileser, invadir a terra e levar cativos os membros das tribos de Rúben e Gade e da meia tribo de Manassés. Os assírios os deportaram para Hala, Habor, Hara e para o rio Gozã, onde estão até hoje.

5 Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel—(B)he was indeed the firstborn, but because he (C)defiled his father’s bed, (D)his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel, so that the genealogy is not listed according to the birthright; 2 yet (E)Judah prevailed over his brothers, and from him came a (F)ruler, although [a]the birthright was Joseph’s— 3 the sons of (G)Reuben the firstborn of Israel were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
4 The sons of Joel were Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son, 5 Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son, 6 and Beerah his son, whom [b]Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria (H)carried into captivity. 18 The sons of Reuben, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh had forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty valiant men, men able to bear shield and sword, to shoot with the bow, and skillful in war, who went to war. 19 They made war with the Hagrites, (S)Jetur, Naphish, and Nodab. 20 And (T)they were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them, for they (U)cried out to God in the battle. He [f]heeded their prayer, because they (V)put their trust in Him. 21 Then they took away their livestock—fifty thousand of their camels, two hundred and fifty thousand of their sheep, and two thousand of their donkeys—also one hundred thousand of their men; 22 for many fell dead, because the war (W)was God’s. The Family of Manasseh (East)
23 So the children of the half-tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land. Their numbers increased from Bashan to Baal Hermon, that is, to (Y)Senir, or Mount Hermon. 24 These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel. They were mighty men of valor, famous men, and heads of their fathers’ houses.
25 And they were unfaithful to the God of their fathers, and (Z)played the harlot after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them. 26 So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of (AA)Pul king of Assyria, that is, (AB)Tiglath-Pileser[g] king of Assyria. He carried the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh into captivity. He took them to (AC)Halah, Habor, Hara, and the river of Gozan to this day.
