1 Chronicles 5:18-20

New International Version

¹⁸The Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh had 44,760 men ready for military service^(A)—able-bodied men who could handle shield and sword, who could use a bow, and who were trained for battle. ¹⁹They waged war against the Hagrites, Jetur,^(B) Naphish and Nodab. ²⁰They were helped^(C) in fighting them, and God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands, because they cried^(D) out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted^(E) in him.

¹⁸The Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh had valiant men who carried shield and sword, and drew the bow, ^(A)expert in war, 44,760, able to go to war. ¹⁹They waged war against the ^(B)Hagrites, ^(C)Jetur, Naphish, and Nodab. ²⁰And when they prevailed^[a] over them, the Hagrites and all who were with them were given into their hands, ^(D)for they cried out to God in the battle, and he granted their urgent plea ^(E)because they trusted in him.
